The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is set to announce the results of the JNV Selection Test 2023 for Class 6 admission in the month of June. The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test for Class 6 was successfully conducted on April 29. Students who appeared for the examination will soon be able to check their marks and qualifying status by visiting the official website, navodaya.gov.in.
It is essential to note that candidates seeking admission to Class 6 must have studied and passed classes 3 to 5 from a government, government-aided, or recognized school. JNV has strictly stated that no candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.
The selection process for Class 6 admission follows certain criteria. At least 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by students provisionally selected from rural areas of the district. The remaining seats are open and will be filled on merit from both urban and rural area candidates of the district, adhering to the reservation criteria. It is important to note that even if a student has studied in a school located in an urban area for just a day during classes 3 to 5, they will be considered as an urban candidate. However, JNV has informed that there will be no reservation for transgender students in the JNV Class 6 admissions 2023.
